Policies and Disclaimer

-POLICIES-
Neon Networks provides global web
hosting to many clients, and we have a responsibility to provide each and
every client with the best possible service. The following guidelines have
been established to insure this intent is met.

Content:
All services provided by Neon Networks
may be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission, storage, or presentation
of any information, data or material in violation of any United States
Federal, State or City law is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited
to: copyrighted material, material we judge to be threatening or obscene,
or material protected by trade secrets and other statutes. Neon Networks
is not responsible for any claims resulting from the use of our service.

Note: Pornography and sex-related
merchandising are prohibited on any Neon Networks server. This includes
sites that may infer sexual content, or link to adult content elsewhere.
This is also true for sites that promote any illegal activity or content
that may be damaging to Neon Networks servers or any other server on the
internet. Links to such materials are prohibited. This also includes, but
not limited to pirated software, hacker programs/archives, and Warez sites.
Neon Networks will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation
of these provisions.

Unlimited
Web Site Traffic Program:
We are pleased to offer our commercial
hosting clients with unlimited web site traffic! To maintain the integrity
of our system the following limitations apply. The following sites do not
qualify for our unlimited traffic policy:
Sites with more than one main page.
Sites housing multiple directories with
unrelated information.
Multiple hosts residing at an IP address
or domain name we provide.
Sites with banners, graphics, or cgi's
running from their domain being used on other domains.
Sites with graphic archives or galleries.
Sites offering download archives such
as .zip, .tar, .ra and .gz
Sites using more than 20% of system
resources.
If you DO NOT qualify for unlimited
traffic, your site will go unmonitored until you reach 8000MB (8gigs) per
month, then normal data transfer costs of only $25.00 per 1000MB will apply.
Neon Networks will notify the user ahead of time before any extra charges
are applied.

Chat Rooms
and IRC:
We do not allow our clients to install
their own chat rooms. This tends to hinder system resources and is not
offered as an account option. We do provide a choice of Java chatrooms
for a small extra charge that will more than fill your needs and run without
degrading the performance of the system for others. Furthermore, we currently
DO NOT allow IRC or IRC bots to be operated on our servers.

Background
running programs:
Neon Networks does NOT allow programs
to run continually in the background.

Commercial
Advertising - Email:
Spamming, the sending of unsolicited
email or posts, from ANY server is STRICTLY prohibited. Neon Networks will
be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision.

Server
abuse:
Any attempts to undermine or cause
harm to any Neon Networks server or customer of Neon Networks is strictly
prohibited.

-DISCLAIMER-
Neon Networks cannot be held liable
for system downtime, crashes, or data loss. We cannot be held liable for
any predicted estimate of profits in which a client would have gained if
their site was functioning. Certain services provided by Neon Networks
are resold. Thus, certain equipment, routing, software, and programming
used by Neon Networks are not directly owned or written by Neon Networks.
Moreover, Neon Networks holds no responsibility for the use of our clients'
accounts. If any terms or conditions are failed to be followed, the account
in question will be automatically deactivated. We reserve the right to
remove any account without advanced notice for any reason Neon Network
sees fit. |
